Standard Sheepadoodle
A Standard Poodle crossed with an Old English Sheepdog. Most are first-generation (F1) or later crosses, but "standard" refers to the Poodle parent's size.
Size
Adults commonly land around 60 to 85 pounds and 20 to 27 inches at the shoulder, with males usually larger. Sizes vary widely because there is no breed standard.
Coat and grooming
Wavy to curly and dense. Needs brushing several times a week and a professional groom every 6 to 8 weeks. See the full grooming guide.
Energy and exercise
Moderate to high. Plan on at least an hour of exercise a day plus mental work. Plan on about 60 to 90 minutes a day.
Best for
Active households with a fenced yard or regular access to open space.
Things to watch
Size and strength in an untrained adult, and a bigger grooming bill. Review Sheepadoodle health and pros and cons before deciding.
