Mini Sheepadoodle
A Miniature Poodle crossed with an Old English Sheepdog, or a Standard Sheepadoodle bred back toward a smaller Poodle. Size is a target, not a guarantee.
Size
Adults are often described as about 25 to 45 pounds and 15 to 20 inches, though the cross is less predictable than a purebred.
Coat and grooming
Wavy to curly. Brush several times a week and expect a professional groom every 6 to 8 weeks. See the full grooming guide.
Energy and exercise
Moderate. A good daily walk plus play and training is usually enough. Plan on about 45 to 60 minutes a day.
Best for
Families, apartment and townhouse living with daily outings, and first-time doodle owners wanting a smaller dog.
Things to watch
Small-dog health concerns such as kneecap problems, and puppies sold as "mini" that grow larger than advertised. Review Sheepadoodle health and pros and cons before deciding.
