Standard Sheepadoodle in Kansas
Kansas has a four-season climate across much of the state. A Standard suits this climate with year-round outdoor activity, as long as you have space for daily exercise.
Coat and grooming in Kansas
Plan on shifting the grooming routine with the seasons: shorter in summer, a little longer in winter, and a thorough brush-out whenever the coat changes. Wavy to curly and dense. Needs brushing several times a week and a professional groom every 6 to 8 weeks. Our Sheepadoodle grooming guide covers tools and routines.
Exercise and daily life
Standard Sheepadoodles need about 60 to 90 minutes of activity a day. Summer needs heat-aware timing and winter needs paw care, but most weeks allow long daily walks and off-leash play in secure areas.
Seasonal risks to plan for
Seasonal tick exposure and coat changes in spring and autumn. Ask your Kansas veterinarian about parasite prevention timed to your local season.
