Multigenerational Sheepadoodle in Arkansas

Arkansas has a hot, humid climate across much of the state. Coat type varies by line, so ask your breeder what coat to expect and plan a summer clip around it.

Coat and grooming in Arkansas

Keep the coat clipped shorter through the long warm season. Dense curls trap heat and damp, so dry the coat fully after swimming or rain to avoid hot spots and matting. Often more predictable within a given breeder's program, from wavy to curly. Our Sheepadoodle grooming guide covers tools and routines.

Exercise and daily life

Multigen Sheepadoodles need about 60 minutes of activity a day. Walk early morning or after sunset, and keep midday play indoors or in shade with fresh water close by.

Seasonal risks to plan for

Heat stress, and a longer flea and tick season. Ask your Arkansas veterinarian about parasite prevention timed to your local season.
